Framing specifications
What is a window mount?
A window mount creates a window around the print and lifts the glazing from the surface of the artwork which helps prevent damage from condensation. We use acid free, white-core mount board which ensures the cut bevelled edge nearest the print remains crisp and white.
What is a float mount?
Float mounted prints are mounted on conservation-grade mount board with a 20 mm border, which is set back from the glazing to protect the print, perfect for displaying the edges of a print.
What is a recessed box frame?
A recessed box frame involves setting the print further back from its glazing with a small border around the artwork – ideal for when you want a more contemporary finish.
